"Below is a science fair project that my granddaughter did for 2006. In it she took filtered water and divided it into two parts. The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling she used the water to water two identical plants to see if there would be any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water may be compromised by microwave. As it turned out, even she was amazed at the difference.")

I have known for years that the problem with microwaved anything is not the radiation people used to worry about, It's how it corrupts the DNA in the food so the body can not recognize it. Ten Reasons to Throw out your Microwave Oven
From the conclusions of the Swiss, Russian and German scientific clinical studies, we can no longer ignore the microwave oven sitting in our kitchens. Based on this research, we will conclude this article with the following:
1). Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term - permanent - brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].
2). The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.
3). Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.
4). The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.
5). Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.
6). The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.
7). Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

The Fact Mobile Radiation.

The fact: microwaves (cellular phones) cause DNA damage.
1.) What are microwaves?Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic energy, like light waves or radio waves, and occupy a part of the electromagnetic spectrum of power, or energy. Microwaves are very short waves of electromagnetic energy that travel at the speed of light (186,282 miles per second). In our modern technological age, microwaves are used to relay long distance telephone signals, television programs, and computer information across the earth or to a satellite in space. But the microwave is most familiar to us as an energy source for cooking food. In simpler terms, a microwave oven decays and changes the molecular structure of the food by the process of radiation. Frequencies from 1-30 GHz are usually called "microwave".
A microwave oven uses microwaves to heat food. Microwaves are radio waves. In the case of microwave ovens, the commonly used radio wave frequency is roughly 2,500 megahertz (2.5 gigahertz). Radio waves in this frequency range have an interesting property: they are absorbed by water, fats and sugars. When they are absorbed they are converted directly into atomic motion - heat. Microwaves in this frequency range have another interesting property: they are not absorbed by most plastics, glass or ceramics. Metal reflects microwaves, which is why metal pans do not work well in a microwave oven. Many cellular phones have two signal strengths: 0.6 watts and 5 watts (for comparison, most CB radios transmit at 4 watts). The base station is also transmitting at low power. It may seem that mobile phones cause negligible radiation in comparison to microwave ovens but a simple calculation will show you the opposite.If you talk on the cellular phone just one hour a day the whole radiation is as follows:10.000 watts radiation of cellular phone (ten times more powerfull than microwaves ovens) is as if you would put your head in a microwaves oven.You can imagine what would happen to you >>> you would burn like a sausage.
Cell phone can do biological damage through heating effects >>>> This causes: headaches, earaches, blurring of vision, short-term memory loss, numbing, tingling, and burning sensations, bad sleep.Well know fact is that if you talk on cellular phone more than 20 min. your brain temperature raises for up to 2 degrees.Look at the chart below:
2.) What are the scientific facts:Dr Henry Lai and Dr N. P. Singh tested in labs that radiation changed brain cell membranes in the rats and the effects are so severe that it could affect humans, too. Research by other scientists indicates that prolonged use of cellular phones may cause hot-spots to develop inside the brain, causing damage which could lead to Alzheimer’s disease or cancer. Recent research has shown that GSM pulse-modulated radiation can cause various physiological effects, such as alteration of the calcium balance in the nerve tissue of rats and also inhibition of cell growth in the human amniotic epithelium. Changes in the EEG pattern have also been observed.These subclinical effects do not always have to lead to disease but do call for alertness. It is assumed that GSM has no mutagenic characteristics (investigated in yeast cells) but can further the development of tumors (in rats). Single and double strand DNA breaks in brain cells increased after exposure to microwaves. Exposure to both continuous wave and pulsed microwaves produced DNA damage. Double strand breaks, if not repaired, are known to lead to cell death.
Researchers at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia discovered earlier this year that the electromagnetic field that surrounds electrical appliances can be positively linked to development of cancer in mice (or negatively linked, if you look at it the mouse’s point of view). Exposure to emissions from (cellular phones) mobile phones (both continuous wave and pulsed microwave RF) can disable a blood-brain-barrier and allow proteins and toxins to leak into the brain. This can increase the chances of developing diseases such as Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's.RF (radio frec.) similar to digital mobile telephones reduced REM sleep and altered the EEG (brain wave) signal during REM sleep. REM sleep is essential for information processing in the brain for learning and memory functions. In 1991, there was a lawsuit in Oklahoma concerning the hospital use of a microwave oven to warm blood needed in a transfusion. The case involved a hip surgery patient, Norma Levitt, who died from a simple blood transfusion. It seems the nurse had warmed the blood in a microwave oven. This tragedy makes it very apparent that there's much more to "heating" with microwaves than we've been led to believe. Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed, but not in microwave ovens. In the case of Mrs. Levitt, the microwaving altered the blood and it killed her3.)Cellular phones are unsafe so how does brain tumor begin?A diagnosis of cancer can be devastating. And there is good reason for this fear -- Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States next to heart disease, and will claim more than half a million lives this year. What we think of as "Cancer" is actually a group of more than one hundred separate diseases. These diseases are all characterized by an abnormal and unregulated growth of cells. This growth destroys surrounding body tissues and may spread to other parts of the body in a process that is known as metastasis. You have probably heard of all kind of different types of cancer,but we focus on BRAIN CANCER (brain tumor):Cancer can develop anywhere in the body, and at any age. Cancer is usually caused by genetic damage that happens inside an individual cell. When cells divide at an accelerated rate, they often begin to form a mass of tissue called a tumor. The tumor is fed by nutrients that diffuse through neighboring blood vessels and can also grow by forming a substance called tumor angiogenesis (vessel forming) factor. This factor stimulates the growth of an independent blood supply to the tumor. Tumors can cause destruction in three common ways:-Tumors put pressure on nearby tissues and/or organs. - Tumors invade tissues and organs directly (direct extension), often damaging or disabling them in the process. -Tumors make invaded tissues and/or organs susceptible to infection. - Tumors can also release substances that destroy tissues in close proximity to them.
4.)What Causes Cancer (brain tumor)?Mutations in tumor suppressor genes are another common cause of cancer. As you might expect, a tumor suppressor gene is supposed to prevent tumors. But when these genes are damaged, they can allow cancer to develop instead of preventing it. One of these genes, p53, normally prevents cells with abnormal DNA from surviving. MEMBERSHIP RULES & REGULATIONS

AVALING THE MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP FEE: Rs.25/- (non-refundable)
SECURITY DEPOSIT: The cost of the books borrowed at a time is to be paid as the security deposit - Minimum being Rs.500

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP: If a member so desires that his family members

(Maximum of 4 members) also need to utilize the library membership then the details as regards name, age, relationship and photograph of the concerned family members needs to be provided prior to borrowing books. No additional membership card will be issued individually.

JOINT MEMBERSHIP: Joint Membership is usually not entertained. If however a joint membership is issued then both the members are severally and jointly bound by the library rules and regulations. An additional Rs.50/- will be charged for issuing additional membership card.

OPERATING THE MEMBERSHIP

Lending Rates: The reading charge is absolute terms is specified in the respective Book/Comic/Magazine. With exception, the general lending rates are as follows: For Books and Comics -10% of the cover price or less per week.
For Magazines (Latest) 10% of the cover price per day, minimum being Rs.2
For magazines (Previous issues) 10% of the cover price per week, minimum being Rs.2

Reading Charges: Members are requested at the time of borrowal, to appraise themselves of the reading charges of the books being borrowed, and choose the books which is within their desired range of "reading charges". Reading charges will run concurrently for all the books borrowed at a time, and overdue charges will be charged if the borrowal period exceeds the stipulated period of one day / one week.

Number of Books: Books of value upto the refundable deposit i.e. Rs.475/- will be issued.Any further borrowal of books beyond this value is permitted only on depositing a matching “Temporary Refundable Deposit".

Condition of Books: The member must make sure that the material being borrowed is complete and without damage; If found damaged or incomplete on return, the last person returning will be held liable. Material lost or damaged is to be paid for by the concerned member at prevailing costs. An item once borrowed will not be exchanged free of cost for any reason.

Reservation of Books: There will be a provision to reserve a given book on payment of a nominal charge. However the books so reserved by a given member will be held separately as if issued to the given member and the reading charges for the book would commence from the date of such reservation. If However the member does not collect the book within a week of such reservation, the reservation would cease and the book would be put back to circulation.

A reservation of any given book is possible only if the value of the book being reserved is within the value of the refundable deposit.

Overdue Books/Magazines: In case Books/ Magazines borrowed are not returned within a span of six weeks from the date of borrowal, it shall be deemed to have been lost and replacement cost of the book along with the reading charges for a period of six weeks will be recovered from the member's security deposit. Similarly if the latest Magazines are not returned within 10 days of borrowal, then the replacement cost of the Magazine along with reading charges for 10days will be recovered from the Member's refundable Deposit. The Book/Magazine will be deemed to be put out of circulation & will be replaced by the management. On no account will the replacement cost of the Book/Magazine be refunded to the member, even on the eventuality of the said book being returned subsequently.

Deposit deficit: The deficit in the security deposit of the member resulting due to the appropriation of the security deposit towards the overdue charges payable by the customer, needs to be made good by the member concerned, and only after that the continued operation of the membership will be permitted.

Closure of Membership

Notice of Closure:A minimum of one week's notice should be unfailingly be given by the member in the "Appropriate Written Format" for the closure of membership. No member can insist on immediate refund of deposit for whatever reason.

Return of membership card:The membership card issued should be returned for Closure of membership, failing which Rs.50 will be deducted from the refundable security deposit.

Closure of Joint Membership: In case of joint membership request for closure and Refund of deposit should be signed by both the members and both the “Membership Cards” need to be returned, failing which Rs.50/- per card will be deducted from the refundable security deposit.

Refundable Deposit Payable: Waiver of reading charges made if any in the last 6 Months of transactions and any other pending dues of the member will be reduced form the refundable deposit and the balance only will be refunded on closure.

Family Membership: In case of Family membership only the primary member can Request for the closure and refund even if additional deposit has been paid has been paid by other family members.

Miscellaneous

v Sitting & reading in the Library is not allowed.

v The member needs to produce the membership card while borrowing books.

v The production of the membership card is for identification purpose only and does not confer any membership privileges to a non-member.

v If membership card is lost the member needs to immediately inform the library & obtain a duplicate card. A duplicate membership card will be issued on payment of Rs.50/-.

v If the borrowed books are overdue the Management at its discretion may contact the members by telephone or make such efforts as required to ensure the return of overdue books. Any expense thus incurred shall be defrayed by the concerned member.

v The membership deposit, the lending rates and other charges are fixed by the management on the basis of certain costing. No discussion on this will be entertained.

v The Management has the right to revise the rules & regulations if and when necessary and to refuse or cancel membership without assigning any reason.

v A colored photograph (passport size) needs to be furnished by the member.

v No authorization either for operating the membership or for closure of membership will be accepted over telephone.
